Dopamin ist für gutes Sehen wichtig!

Woran liegt es, dass Autisten so fantastisch sehen? Die Forscher können momentan nur Spekulationen anbieten. Autisten könnten in der für die Scharfsicht zuständigen Sehgrube im Auge besonders viele Zapfen haben. Sie könnten aber auch mehr von dem Nervenbotenstoff Dopamin aufweisen oder mehr Rezeptoren für ihn haben – entweder in der Netzhaut oder im Nervensystem. Dopamin ist für gutes Sehen wichtig. Oder der Grund ist, dass Autisten im Gehirn mehr von den winzigen Säulen besitzen, die als kleinste Einheit der Nervenschaltkreise gelten.
